Cause of North Industrial Area Fire Unknown
Details surrounding the fire remain limited, with the cause of the blaze, extent of property damage and possible casualties yet to be officially confirmed.
An eyewitness said residents were unable to establish what started the fire but noticed that the flames were becoming increasingly intense.
“We do not know what really caused the fire. All we realised is that the fire is burning from up there. We do not have anyone to help, so the fire has escalated,” the eyewitness said.

Fire Tenders Arrive at Scene
Two fire tenders have reportedly arrived at the scene to assist with efforts to contain the blaze. However, the intensity of the fire has continued to pose challenges to the firefighting operation.
Another eyewitness claimed that personnel from the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) encountered difficulties accessing the affected area because some residents were allegedly obstructing their movement.
The eyewitness appealed to residents in the North Industrial Area to cooperate with firefighters and clear the way to allow emergency teams to reach the affected location.
“Fire Service came to help, yet the residents want to fight them. They should just pave the way for them to pass through, but they are refusing. That is what will happen,” the eyewitness said.
Authorities are expected to provide further updates on the North Industrial Area fire, including its cause, damage assessment and whether any casualties have been recorded.
More updates will follow as information becomes available.
