GCB Bank has denied reports of a robbery or attempted robbery at its Labone branch in Accra, assuring customers that the bank’s premises remain safe and secure.

In a statement issued on Thursday, August 13, 2026, GCB Bank said it had taken note of reports about an alleged robbery attempt in the Labone area, which had been linked to the bank.

The bank, however, clarified that no robbery or attempted robbery occurred at its Labone branch or anywhere on GCB Bank’s premises.

GCB Bank further stated that the branch was not breached and that no customers, employees, money or bank property were affected by the reported incident.

The bank assured customers that the GCB Labone branch remains secure and that normal banking operations are continuing without disruption.

GCB Bank emphasised that the safety and security of its customers, employees and facilities remain a top priority. The financial institution said it has strong security measures in place across its branch network to protect customers and assets.
