Samuel Nartey George (MP), Minister for Communication, Digital Technology, and Innovations, to talk about a possible partnership to create a comprehensive payment system for TikTok content creators in Ghana.

“The bank possesses robust connectivity with MasterCard and Visa, enabling it to accept and make payments directly onto cards,” he said.
The group also demonstrated GCB’s ability to process payouts via a number of channels, such as direct bank accounts and MoMo.
“The bank’s primary aim is to find a way for Ghanaians to get paid for their content and manage cash-outs for gifts received,” he continued.
During the talks, Hon. Samuel Nartey George vigorously supported GCB Bank’s proposal and spoke with Ms. Tokumbo Ibrahim, TikTok’s West Africa representative.
In addition to giving content creators a dependable method, he emphasized that using GCB Bank as an official payment channel would remove the need for them to work with third parties, preventing large margins and guaranteeing more financial gain for Ghanaian artists.
Ms. Tokumbo (TikTok) promised to examine the viability of the suggested payment method as the talks came to an end.
Mr. Furgesson hinted that GCB Bank anticipates a favorable reaction, which would prompt actions to establish a direct line of communication between GCB Bank and TikTok.
“This would involve formalising a payment framework in consultation with relevant financial authorities and establishing technical teams to facilitate the seamless integration,” he said.
