A delegation from the United States has been invited by Hon. Samuel Nartey George (MP), Minister for Communication, Digital Technology, and Innovations, to provide specific cooperation proposals that complement Ghana’s priorities for digital transformation.

The chief executive officer of Chainbridge Consultant Group (VA, USA), Mr. Fred Opoku, led the delegation.

The government is open to partnerships that further its strategic priority areas, which include cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, data analytics, and business process outsourcing (BPO), according to Hon. Samuel Nartey George.

He urged the team to work with the Ghana Investment Promotion Centre (GIPC) in order to obtain pertinent investment incentives, stressing that all collaborations must be in line with Ghana’s national digital strategy.

The Minister gave the group the assurance that his Ministry is prepared to enter into profitable collaborations that have a quantifiable effect on Ghanaians.

In order to create sustainable digital jobs in Ghana, the visiting team showed a significant interest in supporting efforts for outsourcing and the development of digital skills among young people.

The gathering also included Mr. Mekala Reddy, the vice chairman of the Texas-Africa Chamber of Commerce and president of Infodat.
