More than 1,000 students enrolled in the Government of Ghana’s One Million Coders Programme (OMCP), a nationwide digital skills initiative aimed at providing one million Ghanaians with useful, in-demand coding and digital technology skills to improve employability, entrepreneurship, and participation in the digital economy, attended an orientation at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi (KNUST).
Professor Jerry John Kponyo, the KNUST Focal Lead and Principal Investigator of the Responsible Artificial Intelligence (RAIL) Lab, emphasised to attendees during the orientation the significance of providing young people with pertinent digital skills so they can seize new opportunities in the global digital economy.
