The Ghana Prisons Service and the Ghana Free Zones Authority (GFZA) officially launched the Think Prisons 360 initiative, a game-changing program designed to improve offenders’ rehabilitation, skill development, and long-term reintegration.

Mr. Bilal Muazu Sulemana, Senior Manager of Corporate Affairs & PR, on behalf of the Authority’s management and CEO, Dr. Mary Awusi, conveyed GFZA’s gratitude for the solid and fruitful collaboration between the two organizations.

He reiterated GFZA’s dedication to strengthening cooperation with the Prisons Service, especially in areas that support industrial growth, agribusiness, skills training, and opportunities that support the Authority’s mission of stimulating investment and job creation.

Mr. Sulemana emphasized that programs like Think Prisons 360 offer a significant link between social impact and economic development, which is in line with GFZA’s objective to support national development by creative and inclusive initiatives.

GFZA praised the Ghana Prisons Service for its progressive outlook and promised to continue supporting initiatives that give prisoners useful skills, uphold their dignity, and get them ready for a smooth transition back into society.

Patience Baffoe-Bonnie (Esq.), the Director General of the Ghana Prisons Service, praised organizations like GFZA for their long-standing cooperation and emphasized the significance of multi-sector partnerships in attaining successful rehabilitation outcomes.

According to her, Think Prisons 360 is a daring and calculated move toward contemporary correctional methods that equip prisoners with useful skills for the advancement of the country.

She reiterated the Ghana Prisons Service’s dedication to developing a population of inmates that are compassionate, repentant, and productive while also urging stakeholders to support the effort.
