Ghana and Singapore Sign Memorandums of Understanding

His Excellency John Dramani Mahama, President of the Republic of Ghana, signed two Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) to strengthen the two nations’ already-existing bilateral cooperation during his state visit to Singapore. 

The first was a Memorandum of Understanding between the Republic of Ghana and the Republic of Singapore’s Ministries of Foreign Affairs, and the second was a Memorandum of Understanding between the Singapore Cooperation Enterprise and the Ghana Investment Promotion Center.

The signing of these MOUs after a successful bilateral meeting on August 27, 2025, between His Excellency John Dramani Mahama and his colleague from Singapore, His Excellency Tharman Shanmugaratnam.

His Excellency The Prime Minister of Singapore, His Excellency Lawrence Wong, met with the President of the Republic of Ghana as well.

Honorable Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa (MP) and his counterpart, Dr. Vivian Balakrishnan, signed the Memorandum of Understanding between the Republic of Ghana’s Ministries of Foreign Affairs and the Republic Minister for Foreign Affairs.

On behalf of their respective organizations, Mr. Kong Wy Mun, CEO of the Singapore Cooperation Enterprise, and Mr. Simon Maadjie, CEO of the Ghana Investment Promotion Center, signed the Memorandum of Understanding.

The Prime Minister of Singapore and the President of the Republic of Ghana attended the signing ceremony.
