Reggie Rockstone (born Reginald Yaw Asante Ossei) is a Ghanaian rapper, musician, and entrepreneur.
He is widely regarded as the “godfather” of hiplife, a genre of music that fuses traditional highlife music with hip hop.
Rockstone was born in London, England in 1964 and moved to Ghana at a young age. He began his music career as a member of the hip hop group VVIP (formerly known as VIP), which he founded in the late 1990s.
Rockstone is credited with introducing hip hop to Ghana and helping to create the hiplife genre. He is known for his innovative use of the Twi language in his music and for blending African and Western musical styles.




In addition to his music career, Rockstone is also a successful entrepreneur. He is the founder of the popular nightclub and restaurant, Rockstone’s Office, in Accra, Ghana. He is also the CEO of the clothing line, Kolo, which features designs inspired by African art and culture.
Rockstone has won numerous awards for his contributions to Ghanaian music and culture, including the Kora Award for Best African Hip Hop Artist in 2004. He continues to be a prominent figure in the Ghanaian music industry and is recognized as a pioneer and innovator in African hip hop.
