Ghanaian actor, producer, and director Van Vicker was born Joseph van Vicker.

He was born on August 1st, 1977, to a Ghanaian-Liberian mother and a Dutch father in Accra, Ghana.

In 2003, Vicker made his acting debut as the lead in the Ghanaian television program “Suncity.” In 2004, he received considerable acclaim for his performance in the Ghanaian movie “Divine Love.” Since then, he has had over 100 appearances in Ghanaian and Nigerian films, including as “Beyonce: The President’s Daughter,” “Princess Tyra,” “My Soul Lover,” and “Paparazzi: Eye in the Dark.”

Vicker has produced and directed a number of films, including “Friday Night,” “The Hands of Time,” and “Jonah,” in addition to performing. For his contributions to the African film industry, he has received numerous honors, including Best Actor in a Leading Role at the Africa Movie Academy Awards.

Also a philanthropist, Vicker has taken part in a number of charity endeavors. He established the Van Vicker Foundation, which aids underprivileged kids in Ghana.
