Ghana’s highest honor, the Companion of the Order of the Star of the Volta, has been given to William Ruto, the president of Kenya.
President Ruto was given the honor yesterday, Wednesday night at a State banquet. President Nana Akufo-Addo described President Ruto as a “example of a new generation of African leaders” who have made the decision to insist on the application of due process and accountability principles to all citizens, regardless of their social status.
Under his direction, “Kenya has become a shining example of a nation governed by the rule of law,” according to President Akufo-Addo.
