Huawei and Telecel Collaborate to Promote Network Modernisation in Ghana

Telecel Group and Huawei Technologies have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to collaborate on a USD 70 million network modernization and digital infrastructure project aimed at accelerating Ghana’s telecom innovation and expanding nationwide connectivity.

The agreement establishes a framework for cooperation on the Telecel Ghana Rollout Project, a multi-phase initiative designed to upgrade network capacity and deliver next-generation digital services to both consumers and enterprises across the country.

Implementation of the project commenced in November 2025, marking the official start of phased network upgrades across key regions.
