Kennedy Ohene Agyapong and Joe Ghartey, two members of parliament, have formally chosen their registration forms for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearer elections.

On June 1, the two had their reps select their forms on their behalf.

The Assin Central MP’s campaign manager, Kwame Owusu, selected the forms on his behalf.

Surveys that ranked Mr. Agyapong third after Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia and former Trade Minister Alan Kwadwo Kyerematen were discounted by Kwame Owusu.

After receiving the applications, Ken Agyapong denied rumors that he was running for another candidate’s benefit.

He thanked his colleagues and stated that the documents should disprove rumors that he was merely clearing the way for another contender.

According to Essikado Ketan MP Joe Ghartey, Ghana will be improved during his presidency.

Each form was selected for GH50,000.

Before or on Saturday, June 24, when nominations close, submission must be made. Ten candidates have chosen to participate in the primaries so far.

They are Dr. Kofi Konadu Apraku, Dr. Owusu Afriyie Akoto, Kojo Nsafoah Poku, Kwabena Agyei Agyepong, and Boakye Kyeremanteng Agyarko.

Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, Alan Kwadwo Kyerematen, Ken Ohene Agyapong, and Joe Ghartey round out the group.
