Incumbent New Patriotic Party (NPP) General Secretary Justin Kodua Frimpong has recorded 71% support in the latest Global InfoAnalytics poll ahead of the party’s 2026 national executive elections.

The survey, conducted among NPP delegates, puts Justin Kodua ahead of the other candidates contesting the NPP General Secretary position. Former Ngleshie-Amanfro Member of Parliament Sylvester Tetteh recorded 17%, while Eugene Antwi and Charles Dwamena each obtained 6%.

The latest figures provide a snapshot of delegate preferences ahead of the NPP national officers election scheduled for Saturday, October 3, 2026, at the Kumasi Sports Stadium.

NPP General Secretary Election 2026

The General Secretary contest is one of nine national executive positions that NPP delegates are expected to vote on during the party’s national elections.

The candidates competing for the position are Justin Kodua Frimpong, Sylvester Tetteh, Eugene Boakye Antwi and Charles Dwamena. The election is part of the NPP’s ongoing internal reorganisation and preparations ahead of the 2028 general election.

Global InfoAnalytics Poll Results

According to the latest Global InfoAnalytics survey, the reported support among surveyed delegates is:

  • Justin Kodua Frimpong – 71%
  • Sylvester Tetteh – 17%
  • Eugene Antwi – 6%
  • Charles Dwamena – 6%

The figures represent responses recorded under the polling organisation’s methodology and should not be treated as the actual outcome of the NPP election. Polling results reflect the views of the respondents surveyed at the time the research was conducted.

NPP National Executive Elections

The NPP is scheduled to elect its national officers on October 3, 2026, with delegates set to choose executives for key positions including National Chairman, Vice Chairman, General Secretary, National Organiser, National Women’s Organiser, National Youth Organiser, National Nasara Organiser, National Treasurer and National Communications Director.

The election will be conducted at the Kumasi Sports Stadium, as the party continues its internal electoral process ahead of the 2028 elections.

The latest Global InfoAnalytics poll is one of several surveys conducted ahead of the NPP national executive elections. A separate University of Ghana study released earlier in September produced different findings on expectations in the General Secretary contest, underscoring that polling results represent snapshots of surveyed respondents rather than confirmed election results.
