The new DStv bargain package, which is being promoted by Communications Minister Samuel Nartey George, has the full endorsement of MultiChoice Ghana.
The business stated in a statement released on October 1 that previous frequently asked questions on its website had given the value offering, which went into effect on Wednesday, October 1, 2025, “an erroneous impression of a contradiction.”
“We fully support the joint media statement that was issued by the Honourable Minister, Hon Samuel Nartey George, and implementation of the same has already commenced,” the company stated.
MultiChoice affirmed that a committee will examine the policy on a regular basis to determine its effects.
“As contained in the said joint media statement regarding the value offering, the Committee will reconvene in three (3) months to evaluate the impact of this initiative. This will be a periodic exercise,” it explained.
The broadcaster emphasised that subscriber choices are unrestricted. The bouquet selection of a subscriber is unrestricted.
Starting on October 1, 2025, both new and returning clients can take advantage of this deal,” the announcement stressed.
Additionally, MultiChoice expressed regret to its clients for any uncertainty its previous correspondence may have caused. The business ended by saying, “We apologize for any inconvenience the FAQs may have caused.”
The approval comes after improvements in the pay-TV industry were described at a joint news conference with the National Communications Authority, MultiChoice Africa, MultiChoice Ghana, and the Ministry of Communication, Digital Technology, and Innovations.
DStv Ghana previously referred to the offerings as the “We’ve Got You Promotion” and stated that it was the company’s way of offering its consumers even more value.
In contrast to previous declarations by Samuel Nartey George, Minister for Communication, Digital Technology, and Innovations, that this was a permanent renegotiated agreement with MultiChoice Africa to provide Ghanaians with value for their money, it was pointed out that the aforementioned promotion will run from October 1, 2025, to December 31, 2025.
Subscribers who pay for Compact Plus will be upgraded to Premium; those who pay for Compact will be upgraded to Compact Plus; those who pay for Family will be upgraded to Compact; those who pay for Access will be upgraded to Family; and those who purchase Padi Packages will be upgraded to Access as part of the renegotiated agreement.
