The National Signals Bureau’s Volta Regional Command in Ho was established by His Excellency President John Dramani Mahama, who emphasized that intelligence is the cornerstone of security and that security is the cornerstone of growth.
Citing the significance of cybersecurity and artificial intelligence in contemporary security frameworks, the President stated that the government will keep bolstering intelligence and security in the nation to propel national growth.
He claimed that national surveillance and the defense of digital and cyberspace depend on the National Signals Bureau’s national expansion.
Equipped with cutting-edge technology and connected to both regional and national surveillance systems, the new Command in Ho will function as the focal point for intelligence and security cooperation in the Volta Region.

Hon. Muntaka Mohammed-Mubarak, the interior minister, announced that four new regional commands will be operational by the end of the year and praised the government’s dedication to strengthening national security.
Along with the Minister of the Interior and a few other ministers, the President also attended the 2025 National Farmers Day ceremony in Ho.
