The late Hon. Nii Okaija Adamafio’s family sent a delegation to Speaker Rt. Hon. Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin to formally notify his passing and make funeral arrangements.
The Speaker praised the late Hon. Nii Okaija Adamafio as a distinguished legal influencer and a man of integrity, wisdom, courage, and empathy. He also offered his sincere sympathies to the bereaved family.
He added that the late statesman had a profound impact on Ghana’s parliamentary democracy and delivered his speech with skill.
From 1997 to 2001, the late Nii Okaidja Adamafio was the Rawlings administration’s interior minister.
From 1997 to 2001, he served as the Odododiodoo constituency’s first member of parliament.
