A complete world tour has been announced by Ghanaian highlife and Afrobeats artist King Promise to support his recently released third studio album, “True to Self.”
Over the next four months, King Promise will be touring 12 cities in North America, Europe, Asia, and Australia. The tour will begin on August 3 in New York City.
Detroit, Bruges, Stockholm, Tokyo, Gold Coast, Gothenburg, Vienna, Hamburg, Paris, Copenhagen, and Amsterdam are among the places on the “True to Self” world tour itinerary.
Along with headline performances at smaller locations, King Promise will play at important music festivals including Afro Nation and GhanaFest.
The June 14 release of “True to Self,” which explores more intense emotional reaches, demonstrates King Promise’s growth as an artist.
Intimate songwriting inspired by real-life love and relationship experiences can be heard on the album’s twelve tracks. Among the standout tracks that were released prior to the album are “Perfect Combi,” “Paris,” and “Terminator.”
On “True to Self,” King Promise worked with well-known musicians such Sarkodie, OliveTheBoy, Shallipopi, Fridayy, and BEAM, each of whom contributed a special element to the song.
King Promise talked on the meaning behind the album’s title in a recent interview with Apple Music, stressing the value of staying loyal to oneself and striking a balance between his distinctive Ghanaian sound and his more expansive artistic vision.
Additionally, he gave detailed explanations on the history of each track and collaboration.
