The event, which had as its subject “Catch it Early; Treat it Right; Survive it”, aimed to increase public knowledge of breastfeeding, cancer prevention and early diagnosis while highlighting the rights and welfare of women and older adults.
At the event, which took place on the International Day of Older Persons, free breast cancer screenings for employees and the public were offered, and senior citizens were given the opportunity to register for the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS).

She also demanded that the stigma associated with breast cancer be eliminated, stressing that patients should always be treated with compassion, decency, and support because sickness is never a choice.
The Vice President praised the elderly for their enormous contributions to the advancement of the country on the International Day of Older Persons.

She argued for elderly people to be treated with more dignity, care, and safety because their knowledge and life experiences are still crucial to creating a stronger, more cohesive Ghana.
