Three Chinese nationals have been detained by Ghana Police Service agents for the suspected murder of a Ghanaian in Bonsa in the Western Region.
The deceased was allegedly shot and killed by the accused Wen Jianhua, Yu Shuhui alias Eli, and Zhou Daquan on November 11, 2022 in a mining site, according to the authorities.
The deceased person’s body has reportedly been sent to the Tarkwa Municipal hospital for preservation and an autopsy, according to the police.
According to police, “the name of the deceased victim has been concealed in accordance with our regular operating procedure and respect for Ghanaian tradition, until his family is properly told of his demise.”
The alleged crime-scene weapon was found, according to the Ghana Police Service, after a check of the suspects’ home.
Investigation is ongoing, and the accused will be presented in court for trial and punishment.
