The ‘BuzstopBoys’ have received public praise and support from President John Dramani Mahama for their extraordinary commitment to environmental cleanliness. He has described them as model citizens whose work deserves national recognition.

President Mahama donated 200 wheelbarrows, 300 shovels, 300 brooms, 300 pairs of hand gloves, and standing brushes to the organization during the National Sanitation Day formal kickoff on Saturday.

The assistance is intended to strengthen their significant sanitation initiatives nationwide, with a focus on Accra.

“I encountered them last year because I saw them on social media, and they call themselves the bus stop boys. I want to commend them,” he stated.

This acknowledgement coincides with Ghana reaffirming its dedication to environmental sanitation by reintroducing National Sanitation Day.

Every month on the first Saturday, all 16 regions and 261 metropolitan, municipal, and district assemblies will commemorate the day.
