The news of the unexpected death of former First Lady Nana Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings has been acknowledged with great sadness by the Leaders and members of the House, as well as by the Rt. Hon. Speaker of Parliament, A.S. Kingsford Bagbin.
Parliament extends its deepest condolences to the immediate family and the general piblic.
Her dedication and service to our country will continue to serve as a beacon of hope for future generations. She had a strong desire to support women and children, particularly the education of girls.
She also championed the rights and welfare of the vulnerable and made significant contributions to community development and health.
We shall always be grateful and respectful of her kindness and dedication to national duty.
Yesterday, Thursday, October 23, 2025, the House hastily adjourned its sitting in remembrance of her memory, in acknowledgement of her outstanding achievements to Ghana, and in response to the tragic news of her passing.
