In an accident at Teacher Mante, two people who were allegedly pupils from Osino Presbyterian Senior High and Technical School in the Eastern Region died.
The Nsawam Government Hospital is providing care for eleven additional patients who are in serious condition.
After their midterm exams on Friday, June 2, the aforementioned pupils from Osino Presbyterian Technical Senior High School were being transported to Accra in a Nissan minibus with the registration number GG-2071-21 when the tragedy occurred.
According to eyewitness reports, the driver who was traveling from Osino to Accra was speeding.
The car’s tyre burst, and the driver is alleged to have lost control of the wheel, causing the somersault.
Locals had to assist in rescuing the stranded students.
The two victims’ bodies have been placed in the mortuary of the Nsawam Hospital.
