The Minister for Gender, Children, and Social Protection, Hon. Dr. Agnes Naa Momo Lartey, has welcomed delegations from families impacted by the recent EL-WAK stampede, following previous visits to bereaved households in the Greater Accra and Central Regions.
The families came to the Ministry to express their gratitude for the Minister’s support and the Government’s show of solidarity, as well as to discuss future funeral preparations.
Hon. Dr. Agnes Naa Momo Lartey, who graciously greeted the delegations, reiterated the Ministry’s commitment to supporting the families at this difficult time. She reassured them of the government’s continuous support.
She added that the Ministry will keep offering the support they need to deal with their loss, including psychosocial support, in coordination with pertinent agencies.
Assuring the families that they are not alone and that the country is firmly behind them, the Minister urged them to be strong.
