The Ghana Police Service has detained Cyril George Carstensen Lutterodt, also referred to as Counsellor Lutterodt.
Allegations of instigating violence and participating in provocative behaviour that could result in a breach of the peace led to his arrest today. The Public Order Act of 1994 (Act 491) and the Criminal charges Act of 1960 (Act 29) both apply to the alleged charges.
Counsellor Lutterodt had stated prior to his detention that Daddy Lumba, a highlife performer, had been buried at his East Legon home.
Instead of waiting for the police, he allegedly urged young Ga people to go to the house with pickaxes and exhume the body.
He said it would be disrespectful to bury the late musician in what he called an inappropriate spot on Ga property.
Additionally, he urged the young people to act right away.
