H.E. Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa, the president of Zimbabwe, has been invited to Ghana for a three-day state visit from April 1-3, 2026, by President John Dramani Mahama.
The Zimbabwean leader began a visit aimed at strengthening bilateral ties when he was welcomed in Accra with full military honours. A State Banquet in his honour, a château-à-tête, and extended delegation talks aimed at improved collaboration in commerce, tourism, agriculture, healthcare, sanitation, and cooperative efforts to fight unemployment and corruption are among the events planned.
Important Memoranda of Understanding are also anticipated to be signed in front of the two presidents.
The visit reaffirms a shared commitment to establishing a strategic relationship for sustainable development and highlights the close and long-standing links between Ghana and Zimbabwe.
