The Minister said in a social media post on Wednesday, April 1, that the government had paid off debts associated with certified works that had not been paid since 2024, which had caused delays in the project.

He stated that in order to finish the crucial road infrastructure, contractors are anticipated to completely mobilise to the site in the upcoming days.

Recent setbacks to the Suame Interchange Project, a significant traffic solution in Kumasi, have caused locals and road users to worry about protracted congestion and economic disruptions.

The Minister thanked the public for their patience and reassured them that the government is still dedicated to improving the Ashanti regional capital’s road infrastructure and mobility.
