PR & COMMS UPDATES (MoTAI)
The Ministry of Trade, Agribusiness, and Industry convened a high-level meeting on Wednesday. 20th May, 2026 to discuss preparations for the proposed Ghana-US Chamber of Commerce Trade Mission to Ghana, which is slated to take place from May 30 to June 5, 2026.
The meeting, which was presided over by Sampson Ahi, Deputy Minister for Trade, Agribusiness, and Industry, on behalf of the Sector Minister, brought together Ministry agencies to discuss Ghana’s readiness, high-priority projects, and important investment opportunities that would be discussed during the high-level visit.
The Deputy Minister claims that the planned trade expedition comes after H:E John Dramani Mahama, the President of the Republic, recently visited the U.S. Chamber of Commerce in the United States.

Prior to the visit, talks at the Ministry centred on improving institutional coordination, including potential investment roundtables and business-to-business interactions meant to improve trade and investment ties between Ghana and the United States.
The discussion also listed important industries that are anticipated to draw investor interest during the mission, such as technology, renewable energy, agribusiness, agro production, and other critical growth areas of the Ghanaian economy.
The Ministry stated that the impending trade mission offers a chance to highlight Ghana’s investment potential and further establish the nation as a top choice for global partnerships and business.
