Ghana’s tourist industry is in sorrow following the unexpected death of Prince Anthony Bart-Appiah, a pioneering figure credited with reconnecting the African diaspora to the continent.
Prince Anthony died in the early hours of Saturday, July 26, 2026, in his private home in Spintex, Accra.
He helped develop and promote “The Year of Return,” Ghana’s centrepiece tourism campaign that asked members of the African diaspora to return in 2019.
