The Municipal Fire Officer (MFO) of Koforidua Municipal Fire Station, DO II Brown Ocquaye Ayitey accompanied by the Second in Command (2IC), DO III Linda Bampoe, some selected heads of department and some personnel of the station, paid a courtesy call on the Omanhene of New Juaben Traditional Area, Dasebre Kwaku Boateng III at his Palace.
The MFO thanked the Omanhene for offering personnel the needed support all these years and appealed to him to further lend his royal support to the fire station building under construction to ensure that personnel have a more conducive environment to work.
The Omanhene, who was happy to receive the entourage, stated that one can not talk about the safety and security of a nation without acknowledging the role of Firefighters.
He thus encouraged the personnel to keep up with the good work that they are doing and assured them to do the best he could to support the station.
