Rocky Dawuni, a Ghanaian reggae musician who made his debut at the famous international awards show in 2015, has been nominated for a Grammy award for the third time.
The 65th Grammy Awards, which will be held on February 5, 2023 at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, USA, have nominated his song, “Neva Bow Down,” featuring Blvk H3ro, in the Best Global Music Performance category.

Rocky Dawuni is one of the musicians vying in the Best Global Performance category at the awards ceremony, which is hailed as the highest recognition for participants in the global music industry.

The internationally renowned R&B singer Matt B (Gimme Love), Nigeria’s music mogul Burna Boy (Last Last), Pakistani American singer Arooj Aftab, British Indian artist Anoushka Shankar, Zakes Bantwini, and Nomcebo Zikode, as well as Wouter Kellerman, Zakes Bantwini, and Nomcebo Zikode, are all fierce competitors for the Ghanaian musician (Bayethe).

Rocky Dawuni’s chances of winning a Grammy this year are already high given that he failed in his two prior tries to do so in 2015 and 2021.

Dedicated music fans had been hoping that Black Sherif, Sarkodie, and Stonebwoy would be nominated for this year’s Grammy Awards, but that didn’t happen as of today’s news.

Along with Taylor Swift, Lady Gaga, and Beyonce, Beninese singer-songwriter Angelique Kidjo was nominated for Best Song Written for Visual Media.

In addition to being nominated for Best Global Music Performance, Burna Boy was also nominated for Best Global Music Album, which also features Ibrahim Maalouf and Angélique Kidjo.

Five new categories will be introduced for the 65th Grammy Awards, including a non-competitive honorary award for the best song about social change and Songwriter of the Year for non-performing, non-producing musicians.

The Best Americana Music Performance, Best Alternative Music Performance, Best Scoring Soundtrack for Video Games and Other Interactive Media, and the Best Spoken Word Poetry Album are among the additional new categories.

Among the world-renowned musicians predicted to win are Sean Paul, Beyonce, Ed Sheeran, Adele, and Beyonce.

The nominees who topped the charts this year and are eligible for awards include Bad Bunny, Harry Styles, Future, and Kendrick Lamar, who has 39 career nominations and 14 wins, in addition to Beyoncé and Adele, whose albums were popular and critically acclaimed.
