Hon. Michael Okyere Baafi, Ghana’s Deputy Minister for Trade and Industry, was among the honored guests at the opening ceremony of the Ghana Pavilion at the International Horticultural Expo 2023 in Doha, Qatar.
Also in attendance were Expo 2023 Doha Commissioner General Ambassador Bader bin Omar Al Dafa, Ghana Export Promotion Authority’s CEO Osafohene Dr. Afua Asabea Asare I, and Expo 2023 Doha Secretary General Mohammed Al Khouri.
This remarkable event drew the presence of ambassadors from several nations in Qatar, along with Commissioner Generals from various participating countries.
During her speech, the Commissioner General of Ghana, Osafohene Dr. Afua Asabea Asare I, highlighted that this Expo provides an opportunity to showcase the vast horticultural potential in Ghana. She expressed optimism that the Expo serves as a unique platform for Ghana to excel and attract investments into its dynamic sector.
The Expo, themed ‘Green Desert, Better Environment,’ commenced in October, showcasing Ghana’s agricultural evolution, technology, and innovation with pride.
The venue for this incredible adventure is Plot 54, International Expo Site, Al Bidda Park, and the Expo runs from October 2nd, 2023, to March 28th, 2024.
