“…for they still didn’t understand the significance of the miracle of the loaces. Their hearts were too hard to take in…”Mark 6:52, NLT.

People, we all have a history with God. There’s no human being who hasn’t experienced one form of miracle from God or the other before.

I am not talking about the great things God does for us, which He doesn’t reveal to us. I am talking about what He’s done for us, which we know that, but for Him, we wouldn’t have sailed through a challenge.

The disciples had just seen one of the greatest miracles of Jesus, feeding some 15,000 people. But a few hours later, when they were caught in a night of storm in a boat, they were so terrified, worried and scared, till Jesus got into the boat and calmed down the winds. But why were they terrified? The scripture says, it was because they did not consider or understand the miracle of the loaves. If they had remembered what Jesus had done, they would have been calm and stayed in faith.

We all have experienced God’s miraculous interventions in certain past situations that confronted us. But we tend to still worry about our present challenges because, the devil wouldn’t even want us to recall what God did for us in the past, so we can stay in faith that, He who helped us in the past, is capable of helping us today. In this regard, we are worried about our current medical reports, financial situations, joblessness, addictions etc. This happens to all of us.

But this week, let us pause and take sometime to consider God’s past miracles in our lives. It is significant for us to note that, EVERY VICTORY GOD HAS GIVEN US, WASN’T JUST FOR THAT TIME; IT WAS GIVEN, SO WE COULD GO BACK AND USE IT AS FUEL TO BUILD OUR FAITH IN CONFRONTING CURRENT CHALLENGES. SO, IF YOU’RE LOW ON YOUR FAITH, GO BACK AND GET SOME FUEL. IT’S IN YOUR PAST VICTORIES.

A great week to all of us
