NPP Flagbearer Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has received commendation from the Ahafo Regional House of Chiefs for his enormous contributions to several transformative projects while serving as Vice President.
The traditional leaders threw their royal support behind the Vice President and praised Dr. Bawumia’s programs and ambitions for Ghana.
Dr. Bawumia gave a speech to the Ahafo Regional House of Chiefs during a meeting in Goaso. He also outlined the strategies his government would be implementing in a number of areas to address the issues facing Ghana and advance the nation.
A number of traditional leaders spoke in support of Dr. Bawumia’s policies and presidential ambition following his rousing speech.
Speaking first was Nana Ansah Adu Baah, President of the Ahafo Regional House Chiefs, who praised Dr. Bawumia’s humility and expressed faith in his abilities to alter the nation as president through policies.
“Dr. Bawumia’s humility and policies are good for the country and the next generation. I have no doubt in my mind Bawumia means well for Ghana,” said Nana Ansah Adu Baah, who is also the Omanhene of Yamfo Traditional Area.
“The way he is humble is so admirable. I believe if he continues as our next President, it will be good for this country and the next generation. Let us help him and vote for him massively because he has good policies for this country. And his humility is really good for this country because it promotes peace and unity.”
Both Osuodumgya Barima Appiah Dwaah Boafo II, the Omanhene of Kukuom, Traditional Area, and Osahene Kweku Aterkyi II, the Omanhene of Hwediem, Traditional Area, commended Dr. Bawumia for his work and policies. Dr. Bawumia led what he called a transformative digitalization drive.
“I commend Vice President Bawumia for what he has been able to do with the digitalisation of our country. It is remarkable and very transformative- someting which is helping the country, particulalry the youth.”
Dr. Bawumia was also commended by Nana Adwoapo Dwamena Serwaa II, the Omanhemaa of the Bechem Traditional Area, who said that he is “ordained to be the next President” and that they will support him to realize his vision.
Goaso’s Omanhene, Nana Akwasi Bosompra I also complimented the NPP Government on the several development projects that have emerged in the Ahafo Region, particularly Goaso, which he claimed was a result of the NPP Government’s construction of the new Ahafo Region.
