Three people have been taken into custody by the police for fighting and momentarily interfering with the ongoing limited voter registration drive at the Tepa Electoral Commission office in the Ashanti Region.
Abass Abukari, George Vinor, and Abdul Karim are the three suspects who are being held by the police to help with the investigation.
The registration center is now peaceful again, according to a police statement.
In an effort to register people who have recently turned eighteen, limited voter registration went live on Monday, May 7. This is in anticipation of the December 7 presidential and legislative elections.
Nevertheless, there have been a number of difficulties with the exercise, such as network problems and interference from certain people.
