The Ambassadors of Austria and Israel to Ghana, Jürgen Heissel and Roey Gilad, respectively, paid separate courtesy calls on the Minister for Works, Housing and Water Resources, Hon. Ahmed Ibrahim, MP, at the Ministry.

The diplomatic engagements form part of efforts by Austria and Israel to strengthen bilateral relations with Ghana and explore new opportunities for cooperation in key sectors, particularly works, housing, water resources and infrastructure development.

The discussions also focused on how Austria and Israel can further support Ghana’s development agenda through technical expertise, investment opportunities and strategic partnerships in the housing and water sectors.

Both countries have played important roles in Ghana’s infrastructure development, contributing expertise and solutions in areas including water supply systems, sea defence projects and housing infrastructure.

The renewed engagements are expected to create opportunities for greater international cooperation and knowledge sharing as Ghana continues to pursue sustainable solutions to its housing deficit, water supply challenges and infrastructure development needs.

The collaboration could also support the implementation of projects aimed at improving access to reliable water services, strengthening coastal protection and expanding quality housing infrastructure across the country.
