Lil Win, a well-known actor in Ghana, Kwadwo Nkansah, has been granted bail by the Asokore Mampong District Court.
The defendant was charged with careless injury and reckless driving, but he did not enter a plea.
Samuel Buabin Quansah, the court’s presider, gave him GHS50,000 in bail with two sureties, which was justified by his medical condition.
After his attorney, Margaret Adjei-Twum, informed the court that her client was gravely ill and had internal bleeding from the car accident, the Kumawood actor was released on bond.
The accused’s attorney entered a bail plea, and the prosecution did not object. On June 27, 2024, the actor is scheduled to appear in court again.
Richard Ampomah, a 3-year-old child, died in a car accident and Lil Win was taken into custody for his part in it.
The incident happened on May 25, 2024, at Amakom in the Ashanti region’s Kumasi Metropolis.
