Our team at the Bono East Regional Health Directorate is gearing up to keep the community safe from malaria!
From July 2nd to 8th, they’ll be administering the Seasonal Malaria Chemoprevention (SMC) therapy to approximately 103,000 children aged 3-59 months.
But that’s not all! They’ll also be registering households for Long Lasting Insecticide Nets (LLINS) to ensure families are well-protected.
The SMC therapy is a monthly dose of antimalarial medicine that prevents malaria illness and deaths. They’ll be conducting five cycles of dosing, with social mobilization efforts happening throughout the region.
Let’s work together to keep our community healthy and malaria-free!
