On Saturday night, Ghanaian midfielder Mohammed Kudus made football history at the national level by becoming just the second player to win Footballer of the Year twice at the Ghana Football Awards.
After an outstanding first season at the London club, Kudus, who presently plays for West Ham United in the English Premier League, successfully defended his title.
In 45 games across all competitions, the 23-year-old dazzled with 14 goals and 6 assists. He also led the Hammers to a quarterfinal finish in the UEFA Europa League, scoring five goals in the process.
