A six (6) member Singaporean delegation led by Hon. Alvin Tan 陈圣辉, Minister of State for Trade and Industry and Culture, Community and Youth has paid a courtesy call on the Deputy Minister for Finance, Hon. Dr Alex Ampaabeng.
Welcoming the delegation on behalf of the Hon. Minister for Finance, Dr. Mohammed Amin Adam (MP), the Deputy Minister touched on possible areas of support and collaboration between both countries including Fintech, and SMEs growth and opportunity program, ways to strengthen Ghana’s financial sector through knowledge exchange in the area of banking, insurance, and capital markets.
Discussions were also centered around the speed completion of the Bilateral Investment Treaty (BIT) negotiations between the two countries, the establishment of an international financial services center (IFSC) in Ghana to position the country as the preferred destination for International/regional finance, among others.
