The MTN Group is actively exploring a strategic partnership with Starlink, a move that could reshape Africa’s telecommunications landscape, according to the company’s Chief Corporate Services and Sustainability Officer, Adwoa Wiafe.

Speaking at MTN Ghana’s annual Media Forum, Ms Wiafe revealed that the telecom giant is considering collaboration with Starlink, Elon Musk’s satellite internet service, as part of its broader strategy to leverage satellite technology across its African operations.

Pilots have already commenced in several markets.
