Ghanaian X content makers met with Johnson Pandit Asiama, Governor of the Bank of Ghana, today at Bank Square.

The interaction comes after the Bank addressed creators’ worries about access to digital platform compensation in a statement on April 20, 2026.

The Bank values their labour, “just like the export of cocoa,” Governor Dr. Asiama assured the creators.

“Therefore, if you have any issues with your payouts, we are ready to help,” the Governor said.

“We are making ourselves accessible so that we resolve all the issues that you have.”

In order to allow problems to be directed to the Bank for prompt resolution, he also urged the creators to join a legal association.

He continued, “We are interested in what you are doing and will do everything to facilitate your work.”

As long as transactions are handled in accordance with rules, service export earnings may be received through Ghanaian Cedi accounts or foreign exchange accounts held with Ghanaian banks.
