Honorable Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa (MP), Minister of Foreign Affairs, led a delegation from the Ministry’s Management and Advisory Board to the late Dr. Edward Omane Boamah’s home, and the Minister of Defense visited to offer condolences to the family.
The mission included Ambassador Chris Kpodo, a former Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and member of the Ministerial Advisory Board, as well as the Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs, Honourable James Gyakye Quayson (MP).
Prior to his passing, Dr. Edward Omane Boamah was a member of the Ministerial Advisory Board. His contributions to the Board’s work were enormous.

Earlier, the Honorable Minister and his delegation laid flowers in the Ceremonial Garden in front of the Jubilee House in remembrance of our countrymen who died in a sad helicopter crash in the Ashanti Region on Tuesday, August 6, 2025, while performing their duties.
Our beloved nation will always remember Dr. Edward Omane Boamah, Alhaji Dr. Ibrahim Murtala Mohammed (MP), Alhaji Muniru Mohammed, Dr. Samuel Sarpong, Mr. Samuel Aboagye, Squadron Leader Peter Baafemi Anala, Flying Officer Manaen Twum Ampadu, and Sergeant Ernest Addo Mensah.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs offers its deepest sympathies to the families of the deceased during this trying period.
