The Atuabo Gas Processing Plant in the Western Region will be closed for two weeks for planned maintenance, according to the Ministry of Energy and Green Transition.
The planned stoppage will take place between August 16 and August 30, 2025.
The Ministry stated in a statement that the shutdown is a part of the government’s larger effort to guarantee the sustainable and safe operation of important national energy infrastructure.
The Ministry said it is collaborating closely with important power sector partners to implement alternate fuel sources during the maintenance period in order to prevent power supply interruptions.
It is anticipated that these steps will maintain a steady and uninterrupted supply of electricity across the country.
