Twenty-two Black Meteors have been called up by coach Ibrahim Tanko, and they will begin camping on May 23 at the Ghanaman Centre of Excellence in Prampram in preparation for the U-23 Africa Cup of Nations in June.
Players selected from betPawa Premier League teams and several lower-level Ghanaian clubs must report at 3 p.m. on Tuesday.
The Black Meteors are placed in Group A of the competition that serves as a qualifier for the upcoming Olympics in Paris, France, together with the competition’s host Morocco, Guinea, and Congo.

The first game of the U-23 AFCON is set on June 24 in Morocco, and the championship game is scheduled for July 8.
The top three teams in the U-23 AFCON are the only ones guaranteed a spot at the event, so the Black Meteors will be trying to secure their spot at the Olympic Games in Paris.
