Houses in Darkuman Kokompe are destroyed by fire.

Residents of Accra’s Darkuman Kokompe are in a panic as firefighters attempt to contain the fire that has destroyed multiple homes.

As locals frantically tried to recover their possessions while waiting for emergency assistance, the catastrophe, which happened in the early hours of Sunday, August 31, 2025, sent thick smoke billowing from the region.

The origin of the fire is yet unknown, and Ghana National Fire Service personnel have not yet reached the location.

There have been no reported casualties as of yet.
