The Agricultural Development Bank PLC (ADB) has rejected recent media rumors as untrue and disparaging, claiming they are intended to damage the Bank’s and its deputy managing director’s (Mrs. Eno Ofori-Atta’s) reputation.

The Bank refuted the accusations and reassured stakeholders of its dedication to professionalism and openness in a press release published on Sunday, December 15, 2024.

The accusations are related to the recent dismissal of some workers, which the Bank explained was decided by the Board of Directors at a properly called meeting.

ADB stressed that since joining the organization, Mrs. Ofori-Atta has continuously maintained high levels of performance and professionalism and that she did not play an improper part in the situation.

“We categorically refute the claims and assure our stakeholders that all decisions at ADB are guided by strict adherence to relevant laws, regulations, and policies,” the statement read.

“Mrs. Eno Ofori-Atta, since joining the Bank, has held herself to high standards of professionalism and performance,” the Bank noted.

Reaffirming its mandate to drive economic growth through agriculture, ADB called on the public to disregard the false information being circulated.

“We therefore urge the public to disregard the mischief and false information being spread about the Bank and kindly treat it with the contempt it deserves,” the release added.

“The Bank will not hesitate to pursue legal action against individuals or entities spreading such falsehoods,” the statement added

Additionally, the Bank sent a strong warning to individuals disseminating false information, indicating that it is prepared to take legal action if needed.
