Joseph Ade Coker, the former Regional Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in Greater Accra, passed away, according to Citi News.
According to sources, he passed away at the Bank Hospital on Saturday, May 31, following a brief illness; however, the precise cause of death has not been made public.
The NDC grassroots held Ade Coker in high regard for his candid opinions on political and national concerns.
In 2009, he was chosen as the NDC’s Greater Accra Regional Chairman, a position he held for three terms in a row. In 2022, Emmanuel Nii Ashie Moore, the current regional chairman, defeated him in his campaign for reelection.
Ade Coker brought his leadership skills to the sports sector when he was the Vice Chairman of the Ghana Football Association before entering politics.
His death signifies the loss of a significant player in Ghanaian politics and football administration.
