Archbishop Nicholas Duncan-Williams has spoken about what he described as a remarkable spiritual encounter in which he was taken out of his body and shown what he believes was heaven before returning to his physical body.

The founder and leader of Action Chapel International shared the testimony during a recent church sermon, revealing that the extraordinary experience lasted approximately one hour and 45 minutes.

According to Duncan-Williams, an angel took him out of his body and led him to a high mountain, where he witnessed what he described as breathtaking scenes. One of the most memorable sights was grass that appeared to shimmer like diamonds.

“I went there for 1 hour 45 minutes. I was taken out of my body to heaven. I saw some very interesting things. One of the things I saw was that an angel took me to a high mountain and the grass was like diamonds,” he recounted.

The renowned Ghanaian archbishop also recalled encountering Elder Saki, whom he identified as one of the spiritual fathers who had previously prayed for him.

Duncan-Williams said an angel asked him whether he recognised anyone nearby. He responded that he did, after which Elder Saki approached him and called him by his first name.

He further explained that Elder Saki gave him what he described as a pass that enabled him to return to his body.

“While I was standing there, one of the fathers that brought me out in prayer, Elder Saki, the angel said to me, ‘Do you know anybody here?’ and I said yes,” he said.

The archbishop used the spiritual testimony to encourage Christians to remain sensitive to divine guidance and the leading of the Holy Spirit.

He suggested that following spiritual instructions and remaining obedient to God could lead some believers to experience extraordinary spiritual encounters.

“If you follow the instructions of the Spirit, some people will have an encounter to go to heaven. You won’t die, but you will go to heaven and see heaven, then you come back,” Duncan-Williams stated.

The account has generated interest among Christians and followers of the Ghanaian preacher, particularly because of his description of heaven, his encounter with an angel and his claim of returning to his body after the experience.
