Prior to today, Thursday, November 24, 2022, when Ghana takes on Portugal in the opening World Cup Group H match, injured goalkeeper Joseph Wollacot has arrived at the Black Stars team base in Doha.
The goalie for Charlton Athletic was forced to withdraw from Coach Otto Addo’s 26-man roster after suffering a last-minute injury.
Wollacot, though, has decided to stand by his teammates and support them.
His teammates laughed as they greeted him with hugs.
After playing Portugal today, Ghana will also play South Korea and Uruguay in future games.
