Clement Abass Apaak, a member of parliament representing Builsa South, declined to be considered for an honor for his work in the field of education.
He urged the organizers to take these people into consideration since, in his opinion, they are more deserving of the nomination and the award.
The MP said that his responsibilities are just a small portion of his commitment to the people he serves. The MP has developed a reputation for his commitment to serving his constituents and his work as a prominent member of the Education Committee of Parliament.

After being nominated for the Ghana Education Award, the MP stated on social media, “I don’t think I should be considered. I’m merely carrying out my duties as a member of Parliament’s Education Committee and a representative of the Builsa South community.
He claimed that because of his expertise and capacity to resolve their problems, his constituents have put their trust in him. He said that his successes in the field were merely the outcome of carrying out his duties.
According to Mr. Clement Apaak, “My party nominated me for the position of Deputy Ranking Member on the Education Committee of Parliament because it has faith in my skills and experience to deal with issues affecting teaching and learning at all levels.”
He feels that his efforts are not particularly noteworthy and that credit should instead go to the people he works with and represents.
Hon. Apaak declined any prospective honor and advised that the organizers give other people more deserving of consideration.
“I didn’t accomplish my work well enough to earn an award. He respectfully asked the organizers to give priority to those who were more deserving.
